Red Jasmine

When we arrive for this past Monday's row we immediately noted something was very different. Not only was Thea looking different but so was the Bay. As our eyes adjusted to this interesting shade of milky turquoise green blue we simultaneously shouted - the river is running!

The crew was anxious to get out there. High tide and wind made them work.

Our goal - go round Red Jasmine.

With each sweep of the oar the ocean glinted through. The river, a thin layer over the top.

Red Jasmine is really rusty red.

Apparently she is quite empty and a bit cock-eyed.
Or is that me?

As we swing around Rusty Red Jasmine doing our routine of figure eights we see the EDGE. How grand to see nature at work. It's not that far, so we row on after a good deal of admiring. Always amazing to see such a sight plus great fun to run the line of sea and river, seeing nature at work.

As we break for tea...
there above the industry, the mountain we can see,
with the Puyallup below running to be free.
It's all as grand as grand can be.
