Spring update

Many weeks have passed while working on Vérité. The homestretch is almost in sight. The goal is to have her ship shape  and ready to send to send to Denmark for the Atlantic Challenge. This last week there was a fundraiser. Fingers crossed that it went well. Fingers are also crossed that safe transport  can be arranged from Tacoma to Roskilde, Denmark and back again. While these things may not be insurmountable there is a deadline which always increases the challenge.

This last week our work day was compromised by loss of electricity for more than an hour. A high pitched alarm kept us out of the building and drove us to the car. What is almost as good as a boat load of women? A car load! Thankfully the lights came back on and we could go to work.

The material for the new oars. Who knows, maybe by this next week they will be underway?

She looks shinny, doesn't she?

Jill, with the steady hand, is painting the gold leaf on the inscribed letters at the bow.

The others paint green.

One other got stuck in the bathroom sanding stripe blurps.
Proof that some of us will do anything for Vérité.
