She's in!

We are all quite excited.  Vérité is finally in the water. It has been quite the process not to mention the weather has been quite... what's the word the best describes it? Biblical? I suppose we should expect brimstone and locust to show up any time now. Maybe the locust will be the solution to the un-mowed sopping wet grass growing by leaps and bounds? Fortunately we have the boat in the water and soon we will be out in the bay leaving our cares and woes and un-mowed lawns behind us.

It's almost time!

Home stretch - yup - most everything is ready for launching day. Meetings have been infrequent and only on days that were warm enough so the last of the painting would dry properly. This past week we met to organize files and equipment - just twiddling our thumbs until we can put Verite into the water. Mark your calendars - April 19 -launching day! We will paint her bottom quick, sling her into the water and there she will need to sit for a week... maybe two. Maybe we should do some thumb wrestling in the mean time.
