Winter Wonderland

We live in a marvelous place. Today was perfect. Although the clouds weighed heavy on the mountain it did not rain while we were out. Mother Nature knows we are ardent followers of hers  and we hit the "like" button all the time.

The old buildings look so interesting.
The idea floated up that we should bring our sketchbooks one time.
Today the tide was high, the water glassy and smooth... for a while.

Today, we saw our favorite harbor seal - Dingle,
and
an eagle having a feast -
one large Canada goose.
The murder of crows waiting for an invitation to dinner.

Tea time inside allows for more inclusion and less shouting.

After no rowing for a few weeks it was great to hear everyone's stories!

The last row of December

Prior to Monday, December 30 the weather had been wild.  However, when we decide to go out something really nice happens. The clouds almost always part and the wind lessens as we slip out into the waterway. We don't stay out there long, just long enough to pump fresh air into our lungs, redden our cheeks and stretch the muscles. As always we are renewed and refreshed. Tea at the center coupled with a rousing conversation and laughs is a great way to end the year.

Contrails that shift into snakes...
it is time to go in.

Happy New Year!
