News alert! Paradise isn't lost! We found it today!
Oh, what a delightful day it was too.
Six brilliant green kayaks and one red were freed from their binding chains and with great determination brought to the ramp. Jumpin' Jehosiphat! Have you EVER seen the tide so low? It was a -2.4' and the ramp was pitched at nearly vertical.
Undaunted - I say again, UNDAUNTED! (In a whisper saying...The secret is in the power of hands working together.)
Oh, my gosh, the rest of the story... There were CROWLEY's! And at tea time there were roses and warm chocolates. The part of the story that no doubt will makes us all smile, time and again when we remember this day, will be the dance of goslings. You just had to be there. There are no pictures. Someone shouted from dockside we looked like we were ballerinas on the water. I am positive we did too. Mother swan, Muriel, lead the way. Her goslings peeled off in artful play, our laughing cackling was heard by several as we tried to catch up to her.
Note the rocks!
Not to mention the sea life with their heads out of the water a few minutes later!
Girls just want to have fu'un!
We formed a kayak star and shouted - safe passage Verite!
We miss her - who knows where she is at this point.
May the seas treat her well and bring her home safe.
Past the Fire boat and old building - time to head home...
Yes, we managed to "get out" of the kayaks at dockside,
carry the SEVEN kayaks up the ramp
AND put away the gear!
And that's what you call -
PLAYing the WOman Card!
